What is the AVC Makeover all about?
Biblical history records multiple times where the Lord directed God’s Chosen People to build, re-build, and renovate the Lord’s House… to name a few. (Exodus 25,35; 1 Chronicles 29; Nehemiah; Acts 2:42-47)
The church is where we come together and worship corporately. God’s house is where we invite our family and friends. We also host events, activities, weddings, funerals, etc. We want the Lord’s house (AVC) to look nice and feel welcoming and appealing. We thank and praise God for what we have, but it’s time to do some updates. An AVC Makeover.
Read the words of David where he was told (by God) that his son Solomon would lead the way to build the temple: (David’s Prayer)
1 Chronicles 29:10-19
David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, “Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. We are aliens and strangers in your sight, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope. O LORD our God, as for all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you. And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, requirements, and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.”
YES…We praise God for giving us an opportunity to make renovations and additions to our AVC Home.
Proclamation of Prayer, Blessing & Favor
“Oh Lord, we acknowledge you and we know you have blessed us in abundance. Now Lord we ask for your favor and for your Holy Spirit to speak to hearts and minds and do it again Lord. We commit this AVC Makeover to you and we pray that all the monies will be provided in abundance; release the gift of giving & give financial blessings to our members, friends & family in Jesus’ Mighty Name!”
We have come so far….
Many of you know this story but some may not. AVC started in Pastor Brad and Meg's home in 2006 after saying yes to Jesus' call on their lives. Pastor Brad left his employer (Ford Motor Company) and went all in on following Christ as the Holy Spirit led him. For 6 months we gathered in the Standfest’s home, doing church in the basement... then we moved and rented space at the Orchard Primary School for almost three years. After prayer and fasting the Lord led us to where we are now. We Rented here for a time and then we entered a Land Contract purchase with the owner.
God Story 😊
Sadly, the owner went bankrupt and lost this whole property in foreclosure and AVC was left in a lurch, not knowing if we would be able to stay. Long story short the Lord Supernaturally had favor upon us and we were able to purchase all 16,000 sq. feet from the bank. The bank didn't even put the property on the market; and sold it to us for the appraised value (UNHEARD OF) Oh yeah... we DIDN’T HAVE the whole down payment, but the AVC Family RALLIED around the need, and we got the deal done. What a Miracle!!
* For the record this is the short version … Praise the name of Jesus!
What are our Top Priority Goals for the AVC Makeover?
Build a Covered Carport (Drop off) that attaches to the Main Entrance
Build & affix a Cross on the top of the building (Roof) that lights up 24/7; So, the 20-30 thousand people that pass by each day will see the Cross of Christ.
Install Carpet and vinyl wood planks in the Foyer & Bonus Room
Paint the outside of church a fresh New Color
Paint the Inside Steel Walls in the Sanctuary a fresh New Color
Install Carpet on the Sanctuary floor
Install New Shingles on front of building
All these projects and items listed above we identified as our TOP PRIORITY list.
We feel this will enhance our worship experience in a variety of ways:
Letting our Light Shine, The Cross fixed atop the church. Many churches have NO cross inside or out :(
Help Acoustics in Sanctuary
Help Acoustics in Bonus Room
Creates a warm & inviting atmosphere for AVC Family, friends, and our guests
Creates a better appearance (outside) that identifies the Lord’s House
Takes the edge off the industrial space we are in
Covered Carport: protection from the weather & drop off for those that need it. Aids for inclement weather for funerals, weddings etc…
*See the attached Drawings for a snapshot look. Our goal would be to complete these projects by October 31, 2022... subject to funds coming in and contractors/volunteers to complete.
*Please note for some projects like the shingles & carport; we are going to try and utilize the gifts of building within the AVC Family, which will save thousands of dollars.

How are we going to raise the funds?
The Power of the Holy Spirit and our AVC Family. (Acts 2:42-57)
As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child; well, it takes a Community of Believers to complete Projects.
Here's the Truth... raising $50,000 to our Lord is nothing. The Lord can raise a Million in the blink of an eye, he speaks things into existence- Amen!
Let’s repeat the saying again: “It takes a community of believers to complete these projects.”
Now, let’s look at what this could look like?
Let’s just say (IF):
7 Families agreed to raise/give $1,429 each… that comes out to $10,000
5 families agreed to raise/give $1,250 each, that comes out to $5,000
125 people (Child, Youth, Family, Individual) gave $400 that comes out to $50,000
You get the point… Together we can easily reach our goal and beyond.
How do I decide what to pledge, give?
The Truth is, there are some people that can write a $2k-$10k check without blinking an eye. While others have a fixed income and it’s more difficult.
What I ask you to do is pray for One Week and ASK the Holy Spirit what you’re supposed to give one time or in a pledge and follow His lead.
Praise God if we raise over what our Top Priorities are, here are some OTHER things we would like to Makeover:
• Redo floors in front offices / bathrooms
• Replace floors in all Children’s Areas
• Remodel our kitchen and install cabinets and ovens
• Purchase New Chairs for Sanctuary
• Purchase New tables for gatherings, events, funerals etc.
AVC Makeover Conclusion, Now What?
We are asking you to PRAY for one week and ask the Holy Spirit what He is releasing you to give/pledge.
We ask you to pray for the release of blessings and gifts over our AVC Family and for God’s favor and anointing on our project.
We ask that you fill out our giving/pledge card and return it back to the office by no later than June 26th.
As the monies and pledges come in, we will begin to order materials and line up our contractors…. As well as our AVC Builders to complete our projects.
Again, our goal is to have our projects done by October 31, 2022.
*If we raise over our goal of $50,000, we will begin to work on our secondary items
